Az FVM Mezőgazdasági Gépesítési Intézet (MGI) egyik fontos feladata, hogy tájékozódjon és tájékoztasson a gépüzemeltetés költségeinek alakulásáról. 2005-ben ugyanezzel a címmel közreadtunk egy összefoglaló anyagot a burgonya y vírus kutatásával kapcsolatban a MADOSZ honlapján (http://www.madosz.hu). Az eltelt 4 évben tovább folytattuk ezen kísérleteket, így most kiegészítettük az akkor megjelent cikket az azóta gyűjtött felvételezési adatokkal, megjegyezve a kísérletet érintő változásokat.

Összegzésképpen megállapítható, hogy a vizsgált két termésösszetevő – a levélfelület és a levélvastagság – egyaránt hozzájárult a tetejezés nyomán jelentkező hozamnövekedéshez. Korai időpontban végzett tetejezés esetén a változás nagyobb mértékű volt. A változások a felsőbb levélszinteken markánsak, az alsóbb szinteken lényegesen kisebbek. Hasonló trendet mutat a levélszintek között az – e dolgozatban nem tárgyalt – alkaloidtartalom emelkedés a tetejezés nyomán.

2009-ben Spanyolországban 8.167 ha-on termeltek Virginia dohányt. Összesen 28.821 tonnát értékesítettek a termelők, mely 3.529 tonna/ha átlagtermést jelent. Ez egyedülálló teljesítmény, melytől Európában egyedül az olasz burley termelők teljesítenek többet egy hektárra vetítve. A Virginia dohányok szárítására propán-bután gázt, vagy dízel olajt használnak. 1 kg száraz dohány előállításához így mintegy 0,8 EUR költséget használnak fel, ami igen magas.

Az elmúlt években az európai dohánykutatási és fejlesztési szakmai szervezet (AERET) tagországainak képviselői nagy figyelmet fordítanak a 2007-től működő Európai Mediterrán Zóna Peronoszpóra megfigyelési és előrejelzési rendszer működtetésére. A rendser lényege, hogy a dohánytermesztő országokat képviselő kollégák a területeiken fellépő peronoszpóra fertőzések információit rögtön eljuttatják egy kutató kollégához, aki a beérkező információkat egy egységes adatbázisba felvezeti és azt hozzáférhetővé teszi a www.bluemold.info web oldalon. Itt mindenki időben tájékozódhat az országonként fellépő fertőzésekről.

Továbbra is sok felhő lesz felettünk és szórványosan fordulhat elő eső, záporeső. A legnagyobb mennyiségű csapadékra az északi országrész középső területein lehet számítani. Néhol ismét kialakulhatnak ködfoltok.
A délelőtti órákban átmenetileg mindenhol csökken a felhőzet. A Kisalföldön gyakran megélénkül a délkeleti szél, másutt csak időnként fordulhatnak elő élénk széllökések.
A legalacsonyabb hőmérséklet 10 fok körül várható.
Ma délután
Eleinte az északkeleti országrészben is csökken a felhőzet, majd nyugat, délnyugat felől ismét erős felhősödés kezdődik. A kora délutáni órákban a Dunántúl nyugati felén, később már a középső tájakon is várható eső, záporeső, egy-egy zivatar. A legtöbb napsütésre az Alföld déli felén és a Tiszántúlon élők számíthatnak. A légmozgás többnyire gyenge marad, csak északnyugaton és zivatarok környezetében lehetnek élénk széllökések. A hőmérséklet csúcsértéke általában 18 és 24 fok között alakul, de a tartósabban felhős északi-északkeleti megyéinkben hűvösebb, a hosszabb ideig napos keleti részeken ettől néhány fokkal melegebb is lehet.
